November’s Sedna Nexus ~ 04 Nov 2023

Over the next three weeks or so, the Sun, Mars and Ceres convene in the late degrees of Scorpio then into early Sagittarius. It is reasonable that in a fortnight we may be in for an exceptionally tense week on the global front as well as in personal considerations. Tense times heightens sensibilities, and in theory, perfect cogent choices applied to challenges on the path that desperately seek conversion into opportunities.

Well mixed in this nexus is the distant Kuiper Belt Object Sedna. As with any object whose mythology may be less than a rosy jaunt down a primrose path, it may be difficult to extract empowering life lessons from the myth. In such cases, the north node of the object and its perihelion provide helpful astrological insights. For Sedna, her north node is Leo and her perihelion Cancer.

Below is an artist’s conception of the far reaching object and in the upper right corner the star known as our Sun. While an imagined depiction, Neptune in Pisces loves the change to visually speculate about unseen realities.

Before diving into the tension-providing matrix on the horizon, a note about consultations and more. During emotionally rich (raw) times, there’s nothing like an astrological session to sort details and keep perspectives clear. With that thought in mind, the links at the end of this e-zine lead to the payment portal for reports, posing questions or arranging any number of consultations. Given that especially now, life seeks strategic scheduling of such things, clicking earlier than later assures the best options.

Since Sedna’s mythology contains difficult tales to sort, keeping in mind that when push came to shove, an element of choice appears in Sedna’s lore. Also factoring in is how that choice integrates with environmental factors, from the needs of others to the climate and season. Sedna’s urgency in choice is one of selecting only the aspects of life that provide shelter, comfort and nourishment while existing in the harshest of environments (such as tense times). The priority that demands urgent attention is that of choosing things in life that support comfort and safe existence in the real world. The thematic agenda of Sedna adds the substrate that attention to personal needs as a soulful priority is the sole necessity that follows basic providence in life.

Simply put, consider long-term consequences prior to making decisions and select the options that clearly align with your existence in a material world and support your soul’s progress while existing in that world. No matter how tense the global picture appears or what level of complexity life’s encrypted chances to move ahead present, choose consciously and deliberately as if you had to endure the results for an extremely long time. Not as long as Sedna’s revolution around the Sun (12,606 years), but say a length of time that it feels good to be in this skin of life for longer than the seven-year itch lasts.

First up in the nexus, on 10 November Mercury in Sagittarius opposes Sedna in Gemini retrograde. Sedna stands about ready for another stroll in Taurus. Prior to this shift, it is reasonable to expect that data will overwhelm the mental circuits. To sort, first of all, separate the data and facts that are not relevant from considerations at hand. Ensure that no information that originates without consciousness weaves into the mental matrix. Simply put, use no artificial intelligence options. Lateral consciousness is unlikely to elevate. Seek mentors and those with more experience than yourself in related matters for consul. When you hit upon a keeper idea, write it down and continue writing until you run out of steam. You can process such insights for slightly more than three weeks before being forced to decide about this life scenario, remembering that even a temporary choice may last a long time.

Next, on 18 November Mars and the Sun in Scorpio match wits by conjunction. What you desire is likely what you’ll engage. Know that passion drives the decision process in the moment and drives one into immediate, impulse action. Maybe check to see that emotions, sensibilities and desires have equal say in those circumstances engaged. No matter what’s going on or what weirdness results from going forward, strive to enjoy the emotional space that results. Emotion turns to creative output and seeks out the most ideal and satisfying conditions.

But two days later, on 20 November Ceres and the Sun in Scorpio meet up on the ecliptic. This is about advocating for the needs of your soul as if your life depended upon it. Given the intensity of desire and reaction in advance to perceived outcomes, recognize when your declarations are heard. Then, though difficult to do with Mercury in Sagittarius, stop talking and cooperatively create plans methods of implementation for all life gains likely to appear from the resolutions.

But two days after that, on 22 November the Sun at 00 Sagittarius 00 stands opposite Sedna at 00 Gemini 00. While there may be no astrological significance to extract from the zero-zeroness of the partile opposition, it’s visually interesting. What this aspect seeks is clarity. Get clear on what you need and what you want. Then perform engaged and robust due diligence. When others promise to provide life deliverables, whether tangible, emotional or spiritual, take time to consciously realize their intention for engaging, and if they possess the wherewithal to transact those promises. Chose to fill your sails as a clear and decided priority. Select the support of others and circumstances accordingly.

The very next day, on 23 November, Mars stands conjunct Ceres in Scorpio, opposite Sedna, now back in Taurus. There’s a lot more of “what you want is what you want and only what you want.” This can be an OTT time - you know, like streaming platforms, defined as “over the top.” Over doing it can be a part of this transit. Instead of embroilment in emotional incompatibility, step back and even retreat from the situation. It’s okay to mutter and sputter how you might, but only for purposes of self realization. Then, sleep on it. Tomorrow’s another day.

Today is that other day. On 24 November Ceres in Scorpio opposes Sedna in Taurus. Achieving a positive outcome in emotionally stuck situations depends upon one simple detail. Explain your intention for why you want/need what you want with such ferocity. Take time to elucidate your perception of the long-term results of what you propose and advocate to engage. The behind-the-scenes how-and-why goes a long way to promote understanding. Demonstrate tractability. Stubbornness and defiance of what appears to be the best for what ails anyone generates opposition and embedded resistance. Even the most complex situations may achieve successful negotiations and reconciliations with clear understanding of the fervor that drives ones position.

Remember, that starting in less than a week, Mercury enters Sagittarius and underscores all these transits. Demanding one be seen as right and the ultimate authority promotes a less than desirable outcome. If one takes the time to conclude that those with differing opinions believe as they do, understanding may result. Additionally promoting understanding, is the effort to take the time to perceive the logic thread that others used to create views and opinions that do not match your own. And also understand that any objective to change the mind of the other person works against gains. Is it possible to seek out the common threads that all humans have and apply that as a baseline?

Here’s how to find out. Realize each person on Earth seeks to be included and experience a strong fit in their life. Each person needs food, shelter, emotional support and a sense of soulful participation in the grander scheme. Everyone, despite how off-kilter they might seem, shares those fundamental needs... within those needs, lies the nexus of November.

Three weeks into this month, desires become more real, tensions abate, and the sense that the Universe holds a great plan like an umbrella over our heads reassures all sensibilities.

More soon.

For those wondering where my short films ZAP! and MIRAGE AT ZABUL PROVINCE went, I have an answer. The platform that serves as progenitor for streaming sites recently updated their site. Within that, they hiked their prices. Currently, a few streaming sites dropped the films until such time as negotiations finalize. Still, I have news that ZAP! soon returns to streaming sources and there is more film news imminent. Stay tuned!
